Hayle Harbour

Hayle Harbour

Cornwall and the South West of England is a hotspot for development of marine renewable facilities and support. There is a strong locally based supply chain that has recognised the potential provided by the peninsula’s wave, tidal range, tidal stream and offshore wind resources.

In addition there is a complementary and supporting marine technologies infrastructure provided by the University of Plymouth’s wave tank in their COAST laboratory; FaBTest, the fully consented offshore test area in Falmouth Bay, and the Dynamic Marine Component Test Facility (DMAC) at Exeter University.

The scheme forms part of an integrated wider regeneration of Hayle Harbour being led by developers, comprising over 700 houses, retail and leisure uses.
